Because the old way isn’t working anymore
A private, confidential online programme for people who want to regain control of their relationship with alcohol - without stepping away from work or life.
Have you tried to control your drinking on your own?
Days off. Switching drinks. Setting limits. Dry January.
Maybe it worked in the past. For a while. Maybe you’ve even reached out for help, but nothing really resonated - and you found yourself back where you started, trying to work it out alone.
Everything can look fine on the outside, while on the inside it feels anything but. You might wake up wondering how you got here again, get yourself up and power through the day, only to hit repeat again in the evening. It’s confusing to feel alcohol slipping out of control when, in other areas of your life, you have it all together - or just about, anyway.
This isn’t a life you’re really living. You’re just going through the motions, telling yourself that if you try hard enough you’ll be able to change it. It doesn’t have to be this way. There are ways to regain control over alcohol and start living a life to your full potential - the life you’ve always known you’re capable of...
… the life you deserve.
When willpower stops being enough
For a long time, drinking probably felt manageable. Maybe even helpful. It took the edge off, helped you switch off, made things feel easier. Until it didn’t.
Over time, alcohol stops being something you choose and starts being something you negotiate with. You think about it more. You plan around it. You promise yourself you’ll rein it in - and then find yourself back in the same place.
This isn’t because you lack discipline or motivation.
It’s because stress, habit, emotion, and brain chemistry don’t respond well to rules alone.
Nothing is “wrong” with you - but the approach you’ve been using isn’t enough anymore.

The Other Way
Otherway is built on research into how people actually change behaviour over time. It draws on neuroscience, psychology, and evidence-based behaviour change to help you regain control of alcohol - and then move forward into a more fulfilling life.
The programme focuses on:
understanding how alcohol affects your brain, and why it’s been hard to regain control on your own

creating early stability so things feel calmer and more manageable
.png)
learning how to handle stress, emotion, and pressure without needing to escape them
.png)
shifting the thinking patterns that keep people stuck in cycles of promise and regret
.png)
rebuilding confidence, identity, and enjoyment so alcohol stops being central
.png)
designing a life that feels fuller, more engaging, and worth showing up for
.png)
integrating these changes into day-to-day life, work, and relationships

Otherway isn’t just about stopping or controlling drinking. It’s about helping you build a life you don’t want to escape from.
Private and confidential
Otherway is completely private and confidential.
The programme is delivered online and designed to fit around work, family, and existing responsibilities. There’s no need to step away from your life, explain yourself to others, or put anything on display.
You can work on this seriously, and discreetly, alongside the life you already have.

How the programme works
Otherway is a structured online programme designed to support real change, week by week, without overwhelming you.
The core programme runs for 12 weeks, followed by a lighter support phase to help you integrate what you’ve built into everyday life.
During the 12 weeks, you’ll work through two short modules each week, alongside a private coaching session. The modules are focused and manageable, designed to fit around work, family, and life rather than take over.
Each week follows a simple rhythm:
.png)
LEARN
Focused material to understand what’s happening and why.

Reflect
Guided prompts to connect ideas to your own experience.
.png)
Apply
Practical exercises to try during the week.
.png)
CONNECT
A private coaching session for support and perspective.
.png)
INTEGRATE
Simple activities to carry into daily life.

Frequently asked questions
What our clients say...
"Life was becoming a real mess just before I contacted Otherway. I didn’t really know what else to do. I knew I needed to do something, but I was worried that if I went to AA, people I knew would find out.
Doing this programme helped in a way that felt manageable. I got support without having to tell everyone what was going on. I actually looked forward to the sessions and doing the work each week.
I’ve got control of my drinking now, and life feels a lot more stable. I’m really glad I reached out when I did."

What our clients say...
“Life pressures had just got on top of me. I loved my job, but it stressed me out so much that I couldn’t wait to get home and numb out every night.
I knew I needed a break. I even thought about rehab, but there was no way I could take that much time off work.
Otherway felt like it might actually work for my life. I couldn’t believe I’d spent years trying to get a grip on my drinking — and things started to shift within the first week. Looking back at where I was compared to now feels unreal. For the first time in a long time, I feel positive about the future.”

What our clients say...
“I don’t really know when alcohol crept into my life, but at some point I realised I couldn’t go a day without it. Then my daughter made a comment that really hit me in the gut, and I knew I had to do something.
I’m so thankful I came across Otherway. It was exactly what I needed at that point. The modules really helped, and week by week I felt like I was getting back to myself — and even becoming a better version of me than I’d given up on a long time ago.
The change in my relationship with my kids has been the biggest thing. I’m more present, and alcohol just isn’t something I’m constantly thinking about anymore.”
